The pierce weapons (morning star, spiked ball and chain etc) don't have specials.

 

The nunchaku's, quoited flails, sansetsukons, blunt threshers, all have specials.

Your flail will look like this: This nunchaku consists of two identical standard batons skillfully crafted from klatchian steel, each perfectly weighted for their intended purpose. The batons are attached to each other by a short steel chain.
